ARMED robbers smashed their way into a pawnbrokers in broad daylight and made off with jewellery.

Thieves targeted H&T Pawnbrokers in High Street, Slough at 10am on Saturday.

Two motorbikes carrying four people pulled up outside the store, and the four offenders, believed to be men, used weapons to smash their way through the front window.

They stole several items of jewellery before fleeing on the bikes.

A video captured of the incident by Mark Boone, shows the thieves battling through smoke presumably caused by an alarm after they broke in.

Two female members of staff were in the shop at the time but were unharmed.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Chris Gould said: "We need the public's help to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

“If you saw any motorcycles in the vicinity at the time or have any information about the offence please contact the police immediately by calling 101.

“I would reassure the public we are conducting a detailed investigation into this armed robbery, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV."
