A MOBILE cancer information service will visit Slough on Monday to offer guidance to residents.

Macmillan Cancer Support's service will be in High Street from 10am-4pm offering support and guidance to those affected by bowel cancer.

Mary Mountford-Lister, Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Specialist on board the mobile unit, said: “We know that a diagnosis of bowel cancer doesn’t just affect your physical health, it can affect your whole life. If you are living with or beyond bowel cancer and have questions please come and see us. We’d be happy to talk to you, whether it’s about side effects of treatment, coping with a colostomy bag, advice on diet or if you simply want to speak to someone about how you’re feeling.

“We’re also there for anyone else with any worries or concerns, no matter what type of cancer. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, are going through treatment or are living beyond cancer, feel free to pay us a visit – and we welcome carers, family members and loved ones as well."

If you are unable to visit the unit but have questions about cancer, visit www.macmillan.org.uk or call Macmillan free on 0808 808 00 00.
