THE former chief of one of the world's most famous football clubs visited Slough to speak to students at a school.

David Dein, the former vice chairman of Arsenal, stopped by at The Langley Academy on Wednesday to give a talk to Year 9, 10 and 11 students.

Mr Dein spoke about his personal career, the creation of the Premier League in 1992, as well as the important changes in football including the introduction of goal line technology.

The session ended with a lively question and answer session, with students enjoying Mr Dein's sense of humour and sharing their own knowledge of football and the Premier League, winning themselves some prizes.

Students commented that Mr Dein's talk was "really motivational" and that it was "funny and inspiring".

Mr Dein, who was vice chairman of the London based football club from 1983 to 2007, left students with motivational messages to work hard and take pride in their work and that attitude and behaviour were the most important skills to develop to be successful.
