A Slough nursery achieved the highest possible rating in a recent Ofsted inspection.

Slough Day Nursery, on Ipswich Road, Slough, has been awarded an 'Outstanding' rating by Ofsted, the highest rating handed out by the Office for Standards in Education.

The nursery was inspected in October and the nursery received a stellar report from Ofsted who praised the staff for their "high standards of care, welfare and safety throughout the nursery".

The inspector also said the manager was an inspiration to the staff, modelling excellent teaching and ensuring staff benefit from ongoing professional development and training.

Ofsted further commented that "children of all ages make excellent progress in their learning and development. Every child receives the exceptional care and support they need to progress in their development".

Nursery Manager, Abbey Towsey comments: “We could not be happier with the Ofsted result. The whole team work really hard and each of them have played a part in achieving this fantastic result; I am very proud of them all.

“We are all truly passionate about childcare and an inspiration to one another. We are thrilled to receive such brilliant comments and it is wonderful to hear that the children are extremely knowledgeable and have excellent opportunities to achieve learning beyond typical expectations of their ages. We are very proud to be ‘Outstanding’!”
