THE CHEF at a five star hotel has won a prestigious national award.
Chris Wheeler, Executive Chef at the Stoke Park Hotel, claimed the prize for Hotel Chef of the Year at the Hotel Cateys 2016.
It has been a stellar year for Mr Wheeler who also landed the Chef of the Year award at the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life Food and Drink Awards 2016 and made his debut on the BBC's Great British Menu.
The chef at the hotel in Stoke Poges picked up the award last Friday at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
The awards, in their tenth year, are considered to be the Oscars of the Hotel Industry celebrating hotels and their staff.
Giammario Ragnoli, General Manager at Stoke Park, said: "For 13 years Chris has been wowing our guests with his exquisite cuisine and fabulous personality. Chris’s work outside of Stoke Park has been amazing, from working closely with East Berkshire College to raising huge amounts for charity."
