A SLOUGH man has been sentenced after racially abusing a woman and her children.

On Thursday, January 12, Christopher Makepeace, 65, of Burlington Avenue, Slough, shouted 'go back to your own country', 'terrorist' and other abuse at the 34-year-old woman as she loaded her shopping in the car park of Tesco in Wellington Street.

Her two young daughters were with her.

Makepeace was arrested the same day.

He pleaded guilty to one count of racially/religiously aggravated harassment at Slough Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday and was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 in compensation.
