A MAN police wanted to trace in connection with a sexual assault on a train between Windsor and Slough has been found.

A 21-year-old woman had been assaulted after she boarded the train at Windsor on April 5 around 10am, which was on its way to Slough. It happened as she moved to get off the train.

But British Transport Police have now said the man has been identified and they are no longer looking for him.

A spokesperson said: "On May 11 we appealed for information following a report of a sexual assault on a train between Windsor and Slough.

"Following the appeal to trace a man officers wanted to speak to in connection with the incident, a man has been identified.

"Therefore we are no longer appealing for information relating to the man shown in the CCTV images."

The spokesperson additionally thanked the public for their help. They did not say whether an arrest had yet been made.
