An education debate due to be held tonight featuring candidates standing for Slough in the forthcoming General Election has been cancelled - following last night's bombing in Manchester.
Campaigning for the election was suspended as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragedy and it was felt a political debate would not be appropriate.
The debate was due to happen to 7pm tonight, Tuesday, at the Curve.
David Hurley - Slough representative`for the Teachers Union - said it was hoped the debate could be rearranged for a future date before the election.
Meanwhile a special vigil will be held at the War Memorial in High Street, Slough at 7pm tonight, to show solidarity with the victims and people of Manchester following the bombing.
