A POLICE officer will face a misconduct hearing accused of bullying a member of the public.

Neil Bevan will go before a disciplinary board at the Thames Valley Police headquarters in Kidlington on June 7.

He is accused of having bullied a woman, treating her without due respect or courtesy when he confiscated her car keys last year.

The constable was called to private property on August 11 last year. Once he arrived he called seized Eileen Hanrahan's vehicle, took her keys and told another officer to move the vehicle and file a report.

He did this without considering if he had valid basis for doing so or explaining why he did so.

PC Bevan led her to believe he would report her to the DVLA and take further action and did not tell her when he decided against doing so.
