A land and air ambulance attended a crash between junctions 7 and 6 on the M4 near the Central Slough exit last night.

A Citroen and a BMW were involved in an accident at 6pm. One casualty was taken to Wexham Park Hospital by land ambulance and a second who needed different treatment to a hospital further afield by air ambulance.

Two lanes remained closed for 15 minutes while rescue crews waited for the air ambualnce.

Slough firefighters attended for an hour but did not to extricate either of the injured people from the car.
