A SLOUGH radio station has raised thousands of pounds to help Syrian refugees.
The town’s Asian Star Radio teamed up with Slough charity, Khalsa Aid to raise the money for women and children especially who are suffering in the war-torn country.
For the past two months the station has asked its listeners to donate money for the cause, including via its social media pages, raising £13,000 in total.
Presenter, Ray C said: “I would just like to thank all the listeners of Asian Star 101.6FM who are mainly residents of Slough and surrounding areas from the bottom of my heart for their generosity to have donated all this money for a wonderful cause.”
