Ryvers school made the most of the summer heat at their successful summer fayre.

A wide range of fun events and activities were on offer, including stalls from local businesses, lucky dip, bouncy castle, and a football penalty shoot-out.

Pupils from the choir and guitar group also performed.

Event organiser, teacher Chrissy Connolly, said: "I think their favourite event was the sponge-the-teacher.

"The kids really enjoyed it. It was really busy, with lovely weather, and all the parents and teachers really pitched in.

"We set up stalls for the children and the parents too. They all really enjoyed it. We had lots of people saying how well organised it was."

The fayre was a fundraising event, although the headteacher has not determined how much money was made or how it will be spent.

The event ran from 11am-3pm on Saturday, attracting large numbers of fayre-goers.
