Newly delivered cutting equipment played a vital role yesterday afternoon as firefighters rescued a woman from her car on the Windsor Eton Relief Road.
The accident son after 3pm involved two cars.
Firefighters from Langley worked for 45 minutes removing the roof from one of the vehicles, releasing a woman who was taken to hospital.
They used new hydraulic equipment recently delivered to their station.
The accident brought rush hour chaos as the Relief Road - now known as Royal Windsor Way - was closed, leading to traffic jams building up from the Windsor Road roundabout into Eton and into Datchet via Pococks Lane and the Red Cow roundabout.
