LEGO has hosted a special event for primary-age pupils to get their thinking caps on.

The event, called ‘Build the Change’, returned to the Curve for a second time, following last year’s successful event that attracted over 600 children.

Audience development Co-ordinator for the Curve, Dayna White, 22, of Cippenham, said: “For Build the Change, we ask the children to imagine a world where all the adults have forgotten how to play, encourage them to design something to teach them how to have fun again. We try and get them to be creative and use their imagination.

“They could build anything they wanted. One student built a scene where all the adults were zombies, another built a garden.”

Students were given huge tubs of Lego for them to get creative with. Finished models were displayed on a show table, and all the pupils were awarded a special diploma, a Lego magazine, and a Lego gift.

A number of primary schools attended the event, which was held last Friday, October 20, including Khalsa Primary School and Montem Academy, with 250 students taking on the challenge. During a separate public event, that ran from Monday to Tuesday this week, more than 500 children attended.
