A missing kitten was rescued by firefighters after it became trapped between two walls.
Barnsley the kitten was a familiar figure around the barn used by a tree surgery business in Love Lane, Iver.
His mysterious disappearance caused concern until someone heard his plaintiff calls.
Langley firefighters were called out at 11pm last night and spent an hour and a half retrieving the trapped cat.
Firefighter Steve Treacher said: "We had to remove enough rubble out of the way for him to move back through the debris so we could pull him out. He was unhappy at first but was soon purring."
The kitten - christened Barnsley by firefighters - was sent to a 24 hour emergency veterinary service in Uxbridge but given a clean bill of health after being checked over.
Now firefighters are hoping to find him a permanent home in which he can keep out of mischief.
