A day facility for older people is to be taken over by the council.
The Age Concern Day Centre, that works out of the Windmill Resource Centre, Windmill Road, Slough, is to be taken 'in house' by Slough Borough Council, to be managed alongside The Pines day centre service.
Slough Borough Council will take control of the service from January 1, 2018.
"People who currently attend the Windmill Resource Centre will continue to receive a service that meets their needs."
Alan Sinclair, director of adults and communities said: "Providing older people with high quality day opportunities is a top priority for the council and we have carried out an in-depth review to ensure this happens.
“We feel that by bringing the Windmill Resource Centre back in-house we can provide the best possible service to our residents.
“The council is offering the current workforce at the Windmill Resource Centre a chance to move across to Slough Borough Council.
“We look forward to welcoming the team next year as we work to continue to transform the services we provide to meet the needs of older people in Slough.”
