A big community turn out at Holy Family Catholic School's Christmas fair helped raise £4,000 for new nursery equipment.
Sharon Chatyoko, who is chairman of the school's Parent Teacher Association, is delighted.
She said: "There is always a community spirit around here. Everyone comes to our fairs and not just parents."
The fair at the school in Langley High Street attracted support from local business.
Rollover hot dogs from Slough trading estate provided food and Glenn Flegg estate agents contributed gifts.
There was face painting by a team from the school, plus Polish country dancing as well as cakes donated by the nearby Polish store.
This reflected the welcome presence of several pupils from that community.
There were horses dressed as reindeers, who looked just like the real thing and were provided by a dad.
Another dad Jamie Priest dressed as Santa and had his young elves of course.
There was a toy tombola, raffles and a craft stall to help visitors out with their Christmas shopping while the school choir added to the seasonal atmosphere.
