A MAJOR road was closed yesterday, Monday, due to a serious car accident.
Langley Park Road, in Iver, was closed following a collision at around 3pm. A section of road stretching from Langley Station to the Red Lion Pub was sealed off, although the road was re-opened by around 5pm.
Thames Valley Police had asked on Twitter at the time for drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
A spokeswoman for Iver Parish Council said that she had heard that the incident was 'serious.' The air ambulance had also attended the scene.
Despite the incident having occured almost a day ago, Thames Valley Police has so far declined to provide further infomation about who was involved and the nature of any people injured.
First Buses had also advised at the time that Route 3 was being disrupted due to the road closure, and they were unable to reach the stops between Iver High Street and Langley Station.
