A PARENT has accused a school of ‘lax’ action to address attacks on his daughter.

The father of the girl who attends Slough and Eton School, pictured, who wants to remain anonymous, claims the school has failed to properly address multiple incidents of bullying.

He claims she was assaulted by three girls with badminton racquets on her first day of school, which lead to all the attackers receiving a three-day suspension. But the father says the bullying has continued.

He said: “On the first occasion they did an internal exclusion, which was a bit weak. She was then assaulted by a young lad – they do have a police liaison officer there, but they have been unhelpful.”

In a more recent incident, his daughters classmates brought small pebbles into class, and threw them at her while the teacher was not present.

The father said: “We did have a meeting with the headmaster, and he said he would do something about it. But so far, it doesn’t seem like it.

“We are liaising with the council about getting her moved. It’s hard to find any schools that can meet her educational needs – we’ve had to approach a vast swathe of schools.”

His daughter suffers from dyspraxia, a condition that affects balance and co-ordination, and is due to undergo an assessment for autism.

A spokeswoman for Slough and Eton School said: “We’re not able to comment on individual children, but we do have clear processes for dealing with complaints from parents, or any other stakeholder.”
