A police officer with a background in child protection has taken over as Acting Superintendent for Slough.
Sarah Grahame took over in her new role on Wednesday.
She has wide experience of local policing, having previously been Deputy Commander for Windsor and Maidenhead. She has previously worked in Slough as a response inspector and has a background in child protection as a detective inspector in Berkshire in the Child Abuse Investigation Unit.
Acting Superintendent Grahame takes over from Superintendent Gavin Wong who has a new role as temporary Chief Superintendent, Local Policing and Tasking and Resilience.
Superintendent Grahame is also a silver public order commander overseeing events across the force from Reading football to Henley Royal Regatta.
Speaking about her new appointment she said: “The position of police Commander for Slough is a key one and I am delighted to be given this responsibility. I look forward to continuing the work of Superintendent Gavin Wong who has worked tirelessly and started many exciting initiatives. I have already met some members of the community who have emphasised all of the positive aspects about life in Slough and to promote what a good place it is to live.
“I am married with three children and proud to be a working mum, balancing serving the people of Slough with my job as a mum."
