The family of 43 year old Jason Jay Gardner who died after a 'fight' at the Earl of Cornwall pub last week have paid tribute to 'a loving son, father, husband and brother'.
Mr Gardner was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the 'fight' at Cippenham Lane about 11.30pm on Wednesday last week and later died.
A murder investigation was launched and two men have been charged.
This week Mr Gardner's released a statement, saying: “Jason was a loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle and friend whose smile could lift a room.
“He will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he touched so positively.”
* Charlie Joseph Ward, 35, of Eltham Avenue, Slough and John Christopher Ward, 57, of Stoke Road in Slough, have been both been charged with one count of murder.
They appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and were remanded in custody until October 15.
