PUPILS have helped launch the town’s new fun run.
Boys and girls from Lynch Hill Primary School helped Slough Borough Council launch its new 5k Fun Run at Langley Grammar School. The run is to take place on the same day as the Slough Half Marathon, planned for October 14.
The family-friendly run will start in Salt Hill Park, go on to Baylis Park, then return to Salt Hill for the finish.
Cllr Rob Anderson said: “We are delighted to be bringing a fully inclusive, family friendly fun run to Slough this year. This fantastic community event is open to residents of all ages and offers families the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy exercising together.
“It doesn’t matter if you walk, jog or run the course. It’s all about joining in and having fun. We want all of our residents to lead happy and healthy lives and that’s why we bring events like the 5K fun run to the town.”
Entry into the fun run is £5 per adult and £3 per child, with a special family rate available – £10 for two adults and two children. Book at https://tinyurl.com/y8dyb32t
