OUR snapper has offered some of his artwork to be sold to charity.

Slough Observer chief photographer Mike Swift has donated four pieces of his artwork to the Reading Buses company for them to sell at it’s annual open day – the proceeds from which will go to Autism Berkshire. The A3 framed colour drawings are limited edition prints of Reading Buses’ vehicles, including one on 702 duty in Windsor.

Mr Swift said: “I wanted to do something for the Autism Berkshire Charity, which is Reading Buses Charity of the Year, as I spend a lot of time photographing people with the condition while I am working for the paper.

“Diversifying into drawing some Reading Bus images to sell for that cause was well worth the time spent. I have now started a few more pictures as I enjoyed doing them.

"I use an iPad Pro and draw from my own photos. I am also a PCV (Bus and Coach) license holder so I have knowledge of the bus industry, and this is now a new chapter in my drawing story. I hope they raise loads of money for the charity.”

Reading Buses Open Day will be held at their head office at Great Knolly’s Street, Reading, on July 1.
