A £1.7 MILLION boost to the Royal Borough's road repairs budget seems all set to get final approval at the next full council meeting.
Members of the ruling cabinet agreed when they met on Tuesday that the extra amount should be added to the £7.7million already due to be spent - provided the idea gets the support of other members.
The previous budget covered road resurfacing, bridge improvements, traffic, safety and cycling schemes.
The extra money will enable a pilot 'find and fix' scheme to be set up, designed to increase response times and cover more minor repairs which are not necessary for safety reasons but will improve the look of an area.
