A GROUP of school students have received 'Volunteering Passports' at an awards ceremony.
The 17 students from St Joseph's Roman Catholic High School completed a 12 week course that explored different elements of volunteering, from its purpose, the rules and regulations, and how to be a effective volunteer. The students supplemented the course through volunteering in organisations such as schools, charities, and churches.
The training was delivered by Learning to Work, with financial support from the new SEGRO Coummunity Award. The students received their awards at the SEGRO offices in Slough.
Neil Impiazzi, Partnership Development Director at SEGRO, said: "On behalf of SEGRO, congratulations to all the students who have achieved their qualifications. Seeing the real life benefits that the SEGRO Community Award has enabled is hugely satisfying and we’re proud to support Learning To Work."
