One more person has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in Burnham.

Yesterday evening (June 23) a 20-year-old man from Slough was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody at this time.

A 30-year-old man also from Slough who was arrested on June 22 on suspicion of murder also remains in custody.

This comes after a 35-year-old man died following reports of a fight at Wyndham Cresent involving a group of men at around 1.10pm on Sunday (June 20).

CPR was performed on the man by officers and paramedics who attend the scene, but he was later sadly pronounced dead.

A 32-year-old man from Maidenhead and a 36-year-old man from Slough who were arrested on suspicion of murder at an earlier stage have been released.

Additionally, a 28-year-old man of no fixed abode and a 37-year-old woman from Burnham who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have also been released.

Formal identification and a post-mortem will be conducted in due course.

“The man’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

“We have made a further arrest and we are conducting a number of ongoing enquiries.
