MINISTER for the Olympics Tessa Jowell has been confirmed as keynote speaker at Business Live 08.
The July 15 event, at Ascot racecourse, laid on by Thames Valley Chamber and Bob Geldof’s media business Ten Alps, is the area’s premier business event. The media promoter is Chronicle publisher Berkshire Media Group.

Police admit loan to Icelandic bank
THAMES Valley Police have confirmed they deposited millions of pounds in the collapsed Icelandic bank, Landsbanki. The force is one of at least 15 police authorities and 80 councils - including Slough Borough Council and Bucks County Council - to have invested in the Icelandic banking system, which collapsed spectacularly this week.
