Borough Birthday

Profile by Chris Lawrence

THE council wants residents who share their birthday with the borough to help celebrate the milestone next week.

On Sunday, September 14, it will be 70 years since the town received a Royal Charter from the King and officially became a borough.

And the council wants anyone born in Slough on that day to join in the celebrations.

The event coincides with the launch of the 'Proud to be Slough' campaign, organised by the public and prviate sector to improve perceptions of the town and encourage a sense of pride in residents and businesses.

Any Slough residents lucky enough to be turning 70 on September 14 are asked to call 01753 875568.
