EXCLUSIVE: Police officers arrested - update

POLICE this evening (Friday) are continuing to question an officer and two Slough-based members of staff from Thames Valley Police arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs.

The 30-year old male officer was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs and misconduct in public office.

The two members of police staff, both female and aged 21 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs.

All three were arrested yesterday evening (Thursday) following an investigation by the Force"s Professional Standards Department.

Supt Chris Ward, Crime and Operation for Berkshire East BCU, said: "Any allegations of misconduct are taken very seriously by the organisation and will be dealt with professionally and robustly."
