UPDATE: Arrested police officers suspended from duty

THREE police staff arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs have been suspended from duty.

An officer and two Slough-based members of staff from Thames Valley Police were arrested on Thursday after an investigation by the Force"s Professional Standards Department.

The 30-year old male officer was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs and misconduct in public office, while the two members of police staff, both female and aged 21 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs.

The trio have been released on police bail until July 15 when they will return to Loddon Valley police station.
