It is disgraceful that parents of pupils at Wexham secondary school were notified a day after a case was confirmed, and they waited until the end of the following day to send pupils home. They have told the parents, there is one confirmed case.

Langley Grammar School has 2 confirmed cases and the school has not been shut. I think that is disgraceful as so many more pupils could contract the virus.

Come on people - this is flu we're talking about - not a flesh eating bug. Yes, it's not a great thing to happen and it's sort of different fro normal flu, but luckily we live in a country were medication is available. I think people are over-reacting some what. The majority of cases have been extremely mild and treated.

Ive jus got news that all the schools in slough are going to close after this weekend, because the risk of contracting swine flu is too high, i believe that they will close the schools until the summer holidays.

"abdul" by you saying that all you are doing is getting school children's hope's up, for them to think they will have 9weeks summer holiday, i think that the school children would have been informed first. but if what you are saying is correct, then how do you know this? and why have they not been told?.
Thanks.

I go to Langley grammar school and i am definite that more than 3 people have got swine flu just by the way they act. a girl had confirmed swine flu and she came into school sneezing and coughing and a boy in my year his sister and he were tested he hasn\'t got swine flu but his sister has and his sister is in the same year as the girl who was sneezing and coughing our head teacher is not only causing more people to get swine flu by not closing the school down but putting people lives in danger even if its just by a bit.

I go to Langley grammar and things are bad I don’t understand why school is not closed. It’s easy to say as a pupil that school should be closed but things are bad. My teacher told us it’s like any other flu but it’s not the number of children coming to school is decreasing and this can be seen in the number of students in lessons. Our head teacher told us they are only doing what the health agencies are telling them but I don’t understand why they have let my school stay open who have had more than 5 cases and closed wexham who have only got 1 case. Most people in our school come via bus so there are more chances for the flu to spread.

my kids go to cloycots school and weve been given letters today, to say that they have one confirmed case of swine flu and its a familly that has it, alot of pearents have pulled there kids out of school,as i have and can't beleive that they dont even have any precautions in place, to try to stop further out breaks at the school. they dont even have simple things like alcohol gel or nasel cream for the kids, i think it's disgracefull as it is a nursery child thats beev affected, they should aleast close the nursery and have a contractor come in and stirilise the place then re-open it.
