LEGIONS of Michael Jackson fans flooded through the doors of a humble Cippenham social club to witness a heart-wrenching tribute performed by the world"s No 1 king of pop impersonator.

Heart-broken residents travelled from far and wide for an evening of tear-jerking entertainment provided by the famous Jacko dance double at the Royal British Legion in Brook Path just one day after the global singing sensation was found dead at his LA home.

Event organisers were thrilled that body double Navi, who was a regular guest at MJ"s Neverland Ranch, kept to his word and appeared at the club despite being besieged with calls from TV companies and glamorous functions around the country willing to pay big bucks for his services.

Barry Jackson, events coordinator at the Cippenham club, said: 'The evening was a massive success and frankly we could have sold out ten times over. It was obviously very hard for Navi but he gave a moving speech and as always the show was first class.

'The event had been booked for a long time but obviously when the tragic news came through last Thursday we were worried that Navi might pull out as he was popping up on GMTV and national radio all morning but like a true professional he turned up to perform and said how much returning to Cippenham means to him which was nice to hear.'
