Cannabis factory found in Slough

A CANNABIS factory has been discovered in a quiet residential street in Slough.
After receiving an anonymous tip-off from a concerned resident, police officers stormed what seemed to be a quaint family house in Elmhurst Road, Langley, where they found almost every room filled with fully grown cannabis plants which were "ready to harvest".
There was no evidence that anybody lived in the double story detatched home and police are now appealing for help from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious.
Investigating officer, Sgt Trip Pannu, said: 'At this stage it is too early to give a street value of the plants which were confiscated but they have been sent away for analysis.
"These groups operate on a very low profile and landlords or neighbours who suspect any illegal activity should report it to police straight away.'
The house was raided at around 3.45pm on Friday and all the cannabis was cleared by Saturday. Anyone with information can call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Well, it was probably run by the same police who were involved in the cocaine ring at Slough police station.

Why would anyone with information call the police - this prohibition needs to stop.
The amount of public resources consumed in this futile endeavor only serves to confuse & mislead the general public - when in reality cannabis is less harmful than alcohol or cigarettes
If the police (the state) focused their attention on real crimes, instead of the easy targets – speeding and cannabis, the country would be a safer place again.
