A FAMILY has thanked the Observer for helping them find their beloved parrot.

The Henderson family were delighted after receiving a call from a Slough resident yesterday (Thursday) who had found their nine-year-old African Grey, Boyzee, alive and well in her back garden in Thorndike after seeing the appeal on the website.

Father-of-two Paul Henderson, of Woodley, said: 'I received a call at work from a woman saying she had found Boyzee. I rushed over straight away and was happy to see that he was in very good health, though he did look a bit stressed.

"We wanted to express our appreciation to the Observer, since it was your website where residents found the story.

"Boyzee is back home with the family now and my three-year-old son, who shares a very close bond with him, is ecstatic and full of smiles.'

Boyzee was discovered at 5pm after escaping from Mr Henderson"s brother"s home in Farnham Road on Saturday while the family was on holiday.
