POLICE found 800 cannabis plants and electrical equipment when they carried out a warrant at a house in Iver.

An 18-year-old Vietnamese national, Oanh Nguyen, has been charged with cultivation of cannabis, following the find at a property in Delaford Close on Thursday. She was due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates" Court today (Friday).

Beverley Pearse, neighbourhood inspector for South Bucks, said: 'Having your house turned into a cannabis factory causes substantial damage to it due to the infrastructure required and I would advise any landlord to be on their guard when renting out their property.

'If someone offers to pay rent in cash - often a few months in advance - do not accept it and inform the police. It may seem like a good offer at the time, but it will not even begin to compensate for the damage to your property.'
