New proposals for tennis centre

Comments (1) | Print | Email

A CONSULTATION has begun on plans to improve a tennis centre and create a ten pin bowling alley.

Slough Community Leisure has proposals for Salt Hill Park which would improve the 10 floodlit outdoor Tennis Court and provide tennis coaching. Also, the existing three court Indoor Tennis Centre would be converted into a state of the art 18 lane ten pin bowling facility.

Rob Whitehouse from Slough Community Leisure said; "Researchers will be talking to people in the town to ask them about the new proposals. We will also be running a consultation clinic on December 14. There will be an open session for the public in the evening at 8pm at the Centre in Farnham Road. We would really like to hear from people who have a view about our ideas for tennis and the ten pin bowling proposal."

Residents are asked to give their views before the proposals are presented to the council.

i dont want the tennis centre to go as where will people go to play tennis in winter? as well as bowling allies are all-around the place maidenhead etc not so for tennis centre. The motivation from tennis players like Andy Murray was clearly seen in this centre.
