TWO brave swimmers took the plunge in to icy cold sea waters in a bid to ensure that homeless people in Slough are given a warm meal and bed.
Slough Freemasons members Jed Lawton and Simon Hodkins raised £350 by taking a charity dip in the stormy seas of Bournemouth.
Mr Lawson, 35, of Abbots Walk in Dedworth, Windsor, said: "I did it because charity is at the very heart of freemasonry and I care about the less fortunate. Yes, it was very cold. But homeless people suffer from the cold all year. We just suffered for 15 minutes."
Both men, who work at Heathrow Airport, are members of the Wexham Park Lodge, which meets at the Slough Masonic Centre in Ragstone Road, Chalvey.
The money will be donated to Slough Homeless Our Concern (SHOC).
