Terror suspects released without charge

THREE men arrested in Slough last week for alleged terrorist fundraising have been released without charge.
The trio, aged 21, 32 and 43, were released yesterday (Tuesday) , after being arrested at three separate addresses in the borough on Wednesday last week.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "In all operations some people may be released without charge while others may remain in custody for further investigation. This is not unusual."

Its open season.... Arrest Muslims; if there innocent release them..50/50? Its worth a try, you might get the odd Muslim who is guilty.
This is not the first time, nor will it be the last. So will this get the same coverage as it did when they were arrested and being seen as suspects? OR will this just go in the middle page witha few sentances.

I bet all those(especially pillar of society Former Slough mayor and Wexham Cllr David MacIsaac)who posted their ignorant comments last week on the arrest of these brave and INNOCENT men feel WELL stupid now...and they aren't the only ones...
I think it would be fair to conclude that, once again, the press made a big deal out of what was, in effect, nothing, and even went that extra mile further to illegally publish pictures of one of 3 innocent victim's address in the papers without any regard for the safety of his family - really great reporting there!!!
Maybe its time to seriously start taking responsibility for our actions and what we say - even more so now than before...

I'm very disgusted by the **** reporting by most of the reporters on slough observer. You should not write a article on such a topic untill you have proof to back it up. It just doesnt make those poor men look bad but the whole muslim community.

I think you are all being a bit harsh as yes this topic is a touchy one but at the end of the day if they were guilty then the police would have been held as heros and the media would have been correct. As for "Western Media" they are only there as people want them there and in some cases do good. As for the comment on "sending them back to there own country" I think that people are just so tired and I guess angry about foreingers coming here and taking over, so they lash out. I dont think its just musliums that they are aiming at. I think there are many issues around this and we should all look outside the box.

i think its important to remember, that just as the majority of muslims are NOT terrorists, not all british people think that muslim people are. in fact i do not have one friend who supports the notion. sometimes i get just as frustrated with people assuming that i would have that idea - mainly because this is what terrorists want - to stick a wedge between muslim and non-muslim in order to recruit more people to their cause.
i wish people would stop falling into that trap.

lol, england is a land of mutts. we havent been pure blooded for a good few thousand years. the romans settled here, the vikings invaded, you want to start getting rid of the 'non-english', youre going to have a hard time finding anyone who can stay. the only 'pure blooded' people in BRITAIN tend to be the welsh scots and irish. so if youre not one of them, i'd start applying for your passport.

that doesn't mean they know English,

Well since england have been letting in foreign people there is more crime. So, come on LOL. How do you spot an English person? Give us some tell tale signs. The reason why English people are jobless is because SOME of them cant be asked to do the jobs these so foreigners do! There was a problem not long ago about the huge rise in unemployment. Cameras followed a young English man, asked him if he had any luck finding a job.. He replies Yep, but its a f!!!ing cleaning job! Who the f!!k wants to do a cleaning job. Like I said its not all, but you do get a few who think the are too good for the job. Hardly the attitude one should be taking when there unemployed and scrounging if the state! And than to have the cheek to say they are taking our jobs! Well if thats the case, go out and get you jobs back. Go out and fight for tyour jobs! Lets see how enthusiastic you really are! Or better still you can always stay on the dole! Might not be the City Banker lifestyle, but it will by you pakcet of fish and chips with a bottle of cider every other day!

Truth is foreigners keep our country running, without them the NHS would come to a stand still. There is a problem now though, with us joining the EU undemocratically it has become to easy for people to come to the UK and we need to limit immigration, this does not mean stopping it all together or shipping people of but controlling the amount of people allowed in.

Imran, multiculural society yes in the ideal world but lets be honest Slough isnt like that at all! Its more like its been taken over. As for conrtibuting I have worked since I was 16 and have NEVER claimed dole. If it werent for immigrants most of our people would have jobs/housing and if you are on the dole then you dont have a choice of job this way benefits will be down and most of the English will be in jobs. As for our doctors, we wouldnt need so many if we didnt have everyone comming here for the NHS, have you been to Wexham lately?

Imran, the press have a duty to report the FACTS and I think you will find that is exactly what has happened here, three men arrested, three men released and, as far as I can see, no mention whatsoever of what religion they happen to be. This is for those who refuse to evolve beyond the comments such as ‘send'em back' etc.
From the age of 5 onwards I've hearing many of these comments ‘They've taken our jobs/council houses/claiming benefits" and you get tired from the same old non-sense every time there is a recession/national crisis etc.
These comments are as retarded as those who make them; my granddad was also subjected to these very comments back in the early 70's when he came to the UK. It shows, forty years on, not much has changed (so much for the civilised society).
Send'em back to where? If you mean the illegal immigrants, fine, they shouldn't be here in the first place, but what about those who have been here for 2 /3 generations? Where would you send them? Why should countries like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan etc… accept these British born individuals who have never contributed a single penny towards their respected economies or betterment as they do so (unappreciated) for the UK .
Why, because their grand parents were once the citizens of these countries. Thanks but no thanks. Innocent or guilty of terrorism you can keep this British bred talent here(much thanks to the foreign policies).

Why bring religion into it and start quoting meaningless tripe from some book. Religion is for weak minded fools who cant face the reality that we are just like animals except we can make a bigger mess. You are born, you keep your head down for a few years then you die and become worm food. Its not what you believe in that makes a person but what they do with their short life. Being a member of a religion does not make you better than the next person or giving money to charity.
So cut the rubbish quotes and do something positive like march against terror or something.
No smoke without fire, I would like to know the evidence behind the arrest of these guys and why they were held for so long if they were innocent.
