THE stage is set for the first ever live gig at Slough library.

Live @ the Library will see up-and-coming bands from around the borough performing at the glittering new event on April 17.

Gaby Koenig, librarian for children and young people said: "We want our young people to enjoy our space as much as any other community venue. This is our first ever gig and we are really excited to be inviting talented local people to come down and play some great music."

The event is being supported by youth volunteers from SWIPE and staff from the library. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £3 per person. Headlining acts will be announced soon.
