TREASURE TROVE: Presenter Paul Hayes, Eleanor Cryer, Yomi Odeneye from SPG, Cllr Derek Cryer, and presenter Mark Franks.

A COUPLE from Slough took centre stage as a television film crew came to their home.

Derek Cryer, a Slough Borough Councillor, and his wife Eleanor, of Courtlands Drive, were taking part in the show 'Trash for Cash' which involved a sale of items including glass, china, jewellery, silverware and garden furniture.

The film crew were at the house for the sale on Sunday and specialist collectors had already been in to purchase goods beforehand.

Mrs Cryer said: "We decided to sell things that we no longer use. We raised £677, half of which will go to Slough Progressive Group and half to the household. It was a very interesting experience."
