A MUSIC event designed to give young people a place to go for an evening is launching soon.

The event at Haymill Youth Centre, which will feature different bands each week, is designed for young people under 20. The aim is to give them something to do other than hang around on the streets and also to build a live music scene in the area.

The first session on Saturday, March 27 will feature up-and-coming band The Red Partizans and three under 18 bands.

The music night, which will be held fortnightly, with all music styles considered, is strictly for those under 20. There will be no alcohol but soft drinks will be provided. Entry to the venue in Burnham Lane is £2 from 8pm.

The night is organised by NJF PROMOTIONS, for more information, search them on Facebook or MySpace.
