Masked men rob bank
MASKED men robbed a bank while security guards were refilling a cash machine before making off with a cartridge containing an undisclosed amount of cash yesterday.
At 7pm three men drove up to the Nationwide Building Society, in Meadfield Road, Langley, where security guards were refilling an internal cash machine.
One man remained in the vehicle, believed to be a silver VW Golf GTI, while the other two forced entry in to the building society before stealing the cash cartridge.
The empty cartridge was then recovered, after a member of the public saw it being dumped in Rowan Road, West Drayton, at 7.25pm.
Three men, aged 19, 20 and 21, have since been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody.
Det Insp Nicky Hurdley, investigating officer, said: "This was a very frightening experience for the guards and I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area where the robbery took place, or anyone who saw the cash cartridge being left on the side of the road in West Drayton.
"Whilst we are currently interviewing three men who were arrested last night, we are still gathering evidence in relation to this incident.
"I would also urge anyone who saw three men in a silver car, possibly a VW Golf, acting suspiciously in the areas of Langley, Slough, or West Drayton yesterday to contact me."
