UPDATE: Men rob building society
THREE men who were arrested in connection with a masked robbery at a building society have been released with no further action.
The men, aged 19, 20 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of robbery on Friday after the incident at Nationwide building society, in Langley, on Thursday.
At 7pm three men drove up to the building society, in Meadfield Road, where security guards were refilling an internal cash machine.
While one man remained in the vehicle, believed to be a silver VW Golf GTI, the other two smashed through a door at the premises closed to the public.
The robbers threatened the two guards and snatched a cartridge stashed with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The empty box was found in West Drayton, at 7.25pm, after a member of the public saw it being dumped by the robbers in Rowan Road.
Jenna Roddy, manager at neighbouring hairdressers Jen Hair, said: "It's frightening to hear.
"I have a few younger girls working here and it's not very safe - it is lucky we had all gone home at 6pm."
