Tributes flood in for father of three found dead at Heathrow
DEVASTATED friends and colleagues have paid tribute to a father of three who was found dead at work.
Keith Stone, 50, of Gascon's Grove, Slough, was found airside at Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. He worked as operations manager for an aviation company for more than 20 years.
Unconfirmed reports said he was found hanging.
News of his death has left neighbours shocked.
Barbara Bryant, 75, said: "I just can't believe this - it's devastating. He was an active guy and didn't seem ill. He would always say hello. They are such a great family - I've known them for over 30 years."
Mrs Bryant said Mr Stone
leaves behind a wife, twin sons,
a daughter and two grandchildren.
He was a loyal employee at Aircraft Service International Group. A spokesman for the company said: "Keith was a highly respected colleague and good friend to many of us. Having worked for the company for over 23 years he was well known throughout the industry and was a much-liked and valued member of the team.
"His commitment, professionalism and good humour will be sorely missed by us all."
Police said Mr Stone was found dead just four days into the new year. It is not being treating as suspicious and an inquest was opened and adjourned on Friday last
week.
A Facebook page titled 'RIP Keith Stone' was swiftly set-up after his death with friends and
colleagues flooding the page with tributes.
Work colleague Jackie Alexander posted: "So sadly missed by lots of people, so sadly you'll never know. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. Such a tragic loss but will never be forgotten. Gonna miss you at work, Mr Stone!!! R.i.p"
Susan Hilsdon also posted: "I cannot find the word to express my sadness or the sorrow I feel for your family. God Bless Keith, the world is a poorer place without you."
