Man stabbed in stomach after waking to burglar in his room
A 20-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in the stomach after waking to find a burglar in the room he was sleeping in.
The youngster was asleep at an address in Doddsfield Road, britwell, at 2.25pm on Tuesday January 10 when he awoke to find a man in the room.
A struggle then ensued between the two men before the victim sustained a superficial puncture wound to his abdomen, believed to have been caused by a knife. The offender then fled the scene.
The victim received treatment for his injury at Wexham Park Hospital and was later discharged.
The offender was described as white, aged between 25 and 28 and very slim. He was wearing a black hat and a black coat.
It is believed that he broke into the property through a window.
Det Con Stuart Bale, investigating the incident, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has any other information which may assist us with our enquiries.
"We believe a 2009 model black Honda Civic may have been involved, so I would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who saw such a vehicle in Doddsfield Road around the time of the incident."
