Police hunt bookie robbers

TWO MEN are being hunted after forcing their way into a secure area of a bookmakers and stealing money.
The robbery, which happened at the Coral bookmakers on Mirador Crescent, Upton Lea at 11.30am on Thursday.
A member of staff was threatened by the robbers before being forced to handover an undisclosed sum of cash and two mobile phones.
One of the men was carrying a bladed article, possibly a knife or sword and no-one was injured.
The men are described as white or Asian, in their twenties, with scarves covering their faces. They were both wearing dark clothing and white trainers.
It is believed that the men left the scene in a silver car-derived van, possibly a Vauxhall Astra.
Det Sgt Ash Mohmood, investigating the incident, said: "We ask anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with information about the vehicle that we believe was used by the robbers after the incident."
