PLANS for 117 new affordable homes will be unveiled at an exhibition on Wednesday.

The proposals, which are still being developed, would see the new houses built on the land next to St Bernard's Preparatory School, in Hawtrey Close.

The plans, part of developer Linden Homes' consultation programme, also include a landscaped park area for the public.

Tony Blackburn, Linden Homes land director said: "This project presents an exciting opportunity to help make a positive contribution towards helping meet Slough's need for new homes, especially family and affordable homes.

"It also assists in enhancing the school's existing facilities in the form of improved playing fields and sports pitch."

The exhibition will be held in St Bernard's Preparatory School's main hall and run from 5.45-9pm today and Thursday.

Mr Blackburn added: "We recognise the importance of providing an opportunity for local residents to understand and provide feedback on the schemes that we develop and look forward to discussing our proposals for this site with the community.

"In the meantime, should anyone have any questions, I would urge them to get in touch with the team."

Linden Homes are the sixth largest residential developer in the UK. Their project team can be contacted on 0800 298 7040 or visit www.lindenhomes-consultation.co.uk/slough
