COUNCIL chiefs have applied for lottery funds to regenerate two parks.
Slough Borough Council has applied to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a £4.1m grant to restore and improve Baylis and Godolphin parks in Slough after turning around Herschel Park.
If they pass an evaluation stage, the council would receive money for a proposal and could be ready to apply in February 2014.
Cllr Satpal Parmar, commissioner for environment and open spaces, said: "We're hoping for a positive outcome from our grant application, to enable the council to build on its rejuvenation of parks throughout Slough."
The decision to award the grant - up to 80% of the total cost - is expected to be announced in June.
