Reward for return of 'valuable' scissors

A DEVASTATED hairdresser who had £1,500 worth of valuable hairdressing equipment stolen is offering a reward for information leading to its return.
George Kaye is offering a £100 reward for the return of a collection of scissors that was in a rucksack stolen from his car in Haymill Road, Slough.
The former employee of Suters department store in High Street, Slough, who now lives in Dorking and is a hairdressing lecturer at Central Sussex College, said: "I desperately appeal to my fellow hairdressers to notify the police of any suspicious individuals attempting to sell them to you."
He added: "I'm devastated as I'd spent 30 years collecting them and they were very valuable.
"I was always happy to show my students the varying range of scissors I had."
The 15 pairs of Japanese scissors were made from cobalt material, and one of the pairs cost £200 alone.
Some of the scissors, which were in a silver metal case around 10 inches long and two inches deep, featured unusual cutting blades for specialist texturising and many had 'Pivot-Point' stamped on the blades.
Other hairdressing equipment in the light grey, unbranded rucksack which was taken from the boot of Mr Kaye's BMW320 between 8pm on Saturday, May 12 and 1pm on Sunday, May 13, included a hairdryer and hair clippers. The hairdresser, a former student of St Joseph's School, in Shaggy Calf Lane, said: "Opportunists are around so don't leave your valuables in your car, even if it is parked on your drive - I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to anyone else."
Police confirmed the theft was reported and said no arrests have been made.
