Olympic Torch arrives in Dorney
DOZENS of people were on hand to welcome the Olympic Torch to Eton Dorney Lake this morning (Tuesday).
Residents of Dorney and Eton were joined by visitors from as far away as America and Australia, who turned out to see the torch rowed down the lake.
The flame arrived at the lake at 11.30am in convoy before being taken on to the Olympic rowing venue itself.
Marie Blum, who flew in from New York to visit her family and see the relay, said: "While we were visiting we just had to see torch"
Shelia Brown, who was at the event with her son Thomas, 14, from Dorney Reach said: "We had to come and see it as we only live five minutes away and its not everyday something like this happens."
